About Scorebook Software...

What does ‘scorebook’ have to do with ‘poker’?

Scorebook Software‘s first project was to write a baseball statistics program, hence the name Scorebook. As the system was nearing completion, we were approached by another company who bought the product from us. Since they only acquired the code and not our entire company, Scorebook Software has shifted our focus to producing software for home game and small tournament poker events.

Scorebook software is more than just a collection of programmers, we are a collection of programmers who LOVE playing poker. Chances are that as you read this our programmers are either playing poker, thinking about poker, watching poker, or working on poker software. Maybe even more than one of those things at the same time. LOL We have a sister company, Scorebook Poker, that produces poker tournaments for charity fundraisers and team building events in the Long Beach/Los Angeles area.

As Scorebook Poker began to take flight they wanted to find a tournament software package “like the pros use.” If you are visiting this site, chances are you have seen the tournament screens at the World Series of Poker or some other big poker event – but you can’t get those software packages for your home game. Those software companies are only interested in serving the major casinos and big corporations.

That’s were Scorebook Software comes in. We LOVE the home game community – because we are a part of it!

Why should the “big guys” get all the cool software? The software you will find here are programs we actually use in our own home games and tournaments. Rather than just keep it to ourselves we want to share it with you! A lot of the poker software available on the market is either dated or abandoned. Our software is written using the latest Microsoft .NET technologies, and it will continue to evolve.

We want you to be part of our journey. If you see something in our software that is missing, a feature that would be really cool if we could add, or even something that isn’t working the way you think it should – please tell us! We want you to love our software as much as we love playing poker!
